At Footloose Performance Studios Company is for dancers who want to take their dance training to the next level and is an incredible way for dancers to get more performance opportunities on stage and grow their confidence. Company dancers are required to take additional classes to enhance their dance training and is for students who are passionate and committed to improving.

To be eligible, Company Classes have specific eligibility requirements in regards to the amount of classes and styles that students must do.

All Company Members are required to be part of our Jazz Company.

Other Company Class Styles are also available for some age groups. These are optional and may include additional pre-requisite classes to be taken.

Please Note: Company Ages are based on your child's age as at 1st January. This is different to our Recreational Class Ages which are based on School Year.

All Company Members will be required to attend Company Choreography Camp on the weekend of Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th February 2025. This is a compulsory Camp where company members will learn the choreography for their routines. Most Dancers will not be required for the whole weekend, however Company Members are required to keep the whole weekend free until the Company Camp Schedule is released in early January to ensure they are available.

Our Company Classes are a team sport and as such it is very important that all team members are committed equally. Company Members are required to meet all class requirements and uphold the values of being a Company Dancer at our studio. We understand that things happen in life, however we expect our Company Members to have near perfect attendance and only miss classes when very unwell. If you are planning a holiday that falls on one of the performances or eisteddfods please let us know at the beginning of the year so their Teacher can make appropriate adjustments if/where required.

Each year our Company Dancers will compete in up to 4 Eisteddfods throughout Terms 2 & 3 held at various locations across Sydney. Attendance at all Eisteddfods is Compulsory. Some Company classes may also have the opportunity to perform at additional events throughout the year such as School Fetes and the Berowra & Asquith Carols Events in December. These are not compulsory and are subject to availability of members.

Eisteddfod Dates are advised early in Term 1. While we will not receive the final program for each event until a few weeks before, it is expected that these events take priority over other activities and students should save all potential Eisteddfod dates when they are first advised to ensure they will be available. If you are not available due to a pre-existing commitment at the time dates are released, you must advise the office immediately.

Company Class Fees are calculated as per our regular class fee structure based on the total number of classes taken.

Additional Company Related Costs are outlined below:

COMPANY CAMP - $40

COSTUMES

Approximately $100-120 per Company Class. A deposit of $50 per class will be added to accounts in Term 1 with the balance added to accounts in Term 2.

All students will require tan stockings and Black Jazz Shoes for all performances.

FOOTLOOSE JACKET

All Company students are required to have a Footloose Jacket to be worn when representing our Studio at all Eisteddfod and Community Events.

Jackets are $80 and orders for these are placed early in Term 1.
